About the Artist
I am a proud Awabakal woman living as a guest on Yorta Yorta County. I practice my art as a way to be connected with Country, culture, and community. I use both traditional and modern practices within my artwork, and gain my inspiration from the land, waterways, animals, stories of the dreamtime. I continue a desire to restore lost practices and have passion to share our beautiful culture with the wider community.
About the Artwork
Carved emu egg depicting the water in and surrounding our lands and the lands that keep us connected as community, and continue to strengthen and ground us as a people.
