Summer Rain brings feelings of freshness and colours after hot and dry conditions. My painting depicts how I feel at these times.
I was born in Ballarat and have lived there all my life. My mother taught me a lot about my culture when I was growing up, and so did the local Aboriginal community who always showed and shared their knowledge.
While working with Aboriginal youth, teaching them about culture, and supporting them to discover more of their heritage, I realised I had some talent for art.
I started painting, carving, wood burning and much more, and now have become confident with my abilities.
When I do my artwork, I use my emotions, and this is what guides me. My art is healing and about my life.
My work is currently been displayed at Perridak Arts in Ballarat, and I have also been commissioned to do some pieces for individuals and organisations in the Ballarat area.
